Stand Energy Corporation was recently recognized by the Coors Brewing Company as a Gold Supplier Award winner for 2003.   At an awards banquet in Golden Colorado on April 21 st , chaired by Leo Kiely III Coors' President and CEO, Stand was officially recognized as Coors' Energy Supplier of the Year and competed with approximately 4200 entities for Coors' overall Supplier of the Year Award.

Stand Energy Corporation is a marketer of natural gas and related services to industrial and commercial consumers of all types.   Stand, founded in 1984, is headquartered in Cincinnati , Ohio and is federally certified as a Woman Owned Business.   It markets gas to customers in 11 states with the main concentration of customers in Indiana , Kentucky , New York , Ohio , Virginia , and West Virginia .   Stand has provided gas service to Coors' packaging facility in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for eight years.

Coors' objective with their suppliers is to “establish mutually beneficial relationships that can turn into long-range partnerships.”   In presenting the Gold Supplier Award to Stand Energy's Chairman, Matth. Toebben, President Judith Phillips, and Coors' Account Executive, Mike Robison, Coors thanked Stand for “supporting Coors and for their dedication to quality, service and continuous improvement.”   Coors' criteria for the award were “performance plus relationship equals winning” and that is precisely Stand's philosophy with all of its customers.
